Send your device in for repair
Before sending it, it is worth making a backup of your data, switching off any locks we are not allowed or do not need to use for the repair, removing the SIM card and leaving out accessories that are not being repaired. Ideally, only the device goes into the parcel, unless we have agreed something else beforehand. You can take off the case, because it usually gets in the way during the repair.
A repair by post with us usually takes two to three days until the device is back with the customer. For many models, the customer can choose the quality of the replacement part, for example original or a cheaper compatible part; the prices are listed on the relevant repair page. If you have found the same repair cheaper somewhere else, send it to us and we will make you a counter-offer.
How do I pack my phone for postage?
Pack the phone so that it does not touch the outer walls of the box directly and does not move when you shake the parcel. The simplest way is to wrap it in bubble wrap, put it in a sturdy box and fill the empty spaces with protective material.
We do not put a phone loose into an envelope. A cracked screen, a bent frame or a loose housing can get worse in transit if the device can move around inside the parcel.
Should I insure my parcel?
Yes, for a more expensive phone or tablet it is worth checking transport insurance. Insurance of up to five hundred, one thousand five hundred or five thousand CHF can be added to the shipment.
Good packaging is still the basis. Insurance does not replace protection against knocks; it only gives extra cover for transport.
Send an iPad safely by post
You can also send a tablet safely by post, including a large iPad. With a bigger device, it is important that it cannot bend inside the parcel and that there is no direct pressure on the screen.
Can you send a tablet in safely?
Yes, you can send a tablet in safely if it lies in a sturdy box and is well protected at the sides and on the screen side. With an iPad, we do not save on filling material, because a large glass surface does not handle pressure on one point well.
Bubble wrap and extra filling material that blocks the device from moving work well. If you use our shipping box, you already have packaging prepared for transporting devices for repair.

After the repair, we send the device back protected for transport. We wrap the phone or tablet in bubble wrap and add special protective material so the parcel is filled and is not so easily compressed on the way.

After the repair, the device is packed so that it does not shift inside the box and is separated from the outer walls by a protective layer. We use bubble wrap and filling material that protects the shipment from damage.
The shipment goes back to the customer as a tracked A+ letter. That way the customer can see where the parcel is, and the phone or iPad does not travel loose in a normal envelope.
